Trim Levels (Exterior)

The 2023 Honda Civic sedan comes in four trim levels: Sport, EX, Touring, and Si. The Honda Civic hatchback also comes in four similar trim levels: Sport, EX-L, Sport Touring, and the new Type R. All trims come with full LED headlights and alloy wheels varying in size. The EX and EX-L come with 17-inch wheels, while the Sport, Touring, Sport Touring, and Si come with 18-inch wheels. The Touring and the Touring Sport also come with LED fog lights and rain-sensing windshield wipers.

Engine (Power)

The Honda Civic sedan levels do not vary greatly regarding engine power. With their 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, the Sport and the EX kick out a safe 158 horsepower. The Touring runs at 180 horsepower with a four-cylinder turbocharged 1.5-liter engine, and the Si sparks the most power out of the sedans with 200 horsepower and a four-cylinder turbocharged 1.5-liter engine. The hatchbacks are similar, with the exception of the new Type R trim level that's expected to have a 2.0-liter engine capable of 300 horsepower.

Performance

The 2023 Honda Civic is built with performance in mind. In a study, the Civic Touring sedan went from zero to 60 in 7.9 seconds, which is an exceptional time for similar sedans on the market. The Sport, Sport Touring, and Type R hatchbacks are available with six-speed manual transmissions for a quicker takeoff.
